Jr. Social Media Specialist

Full-Time

Overview
We’re hiring a Junior Social Media Specialist to support and grow day-to-day social operations for a major sports league client while also contributing across our broader client portfolio. This role includes meaningful responsibility in content development, including graphic creation in Canva and platform-specific copywriting, alongside real-time coverage and performance tracking.

You’ll be actively involved in planning, creating, and publishing content, managing community engagement, supporting real-time tournament coverage during the summer season, and analyzing results.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-moving, client-facing environment with clear expectations and a defined growth path.

Growth Path
This position is intentionally structured to develop into a Junior Social Media Manager role as ownership, strategy, and client leadership expand. The right candidate will have the opportunity to take on increasing creative, operational, and strategic responsibility over time.

Schedule

(This role requires a specific schedule to support weekend coverage for a dedicated client during the summer season.)

September–May (Off-Season)

  • 4 days in-office (Monday–Friday)

  • 1 weekday remote (work-from-home)

  • Office location: WeWork East Nashville

  • Weekends off

Late May–August (Summer Tournament Season)

  • In-office Wednesday–Friday

  • Off Monday and Tuesday

  • Saturday–Sunday: real-time coverage (flexible work location — remote or in-office)

  • Office location: WeWork East Nashville

Additional Seasonal Requirements

  • Coverage runs from the last weekend of May through August 30, 2026

  • Travel required for Memorial Day weekend (May 22–25, 2026)

  • Coverage-day hours are typically 10:00–11:00 a.m. CT through approximately 7:00 p.m. CT, depending on when play concludes

  • Additional differential compensation is provided during the summer coverage period

    From September through May, the role returns to a standard Monday–Friday schedule with weekends off.


    What You’ll Do

  • Create and design social content in Canva, including graphics and platform-specific visuals

  • Write clear, engaging copy aligned with brand voice

  • Build and manage content calendars across multiple clients

  • Publish and schedule content across platforms

  • Execute real-time coverage during tournaments and events

  • Monitor community engagement and respond to comments and DMs

  • Track performance metrics and support reporting

  • Identify trends and content opportunities

  • Support creator and influencer coordination as needed

    What You Bring

  • 1-2 years of social media or content experience

  • Strong content creation skills (Canva or similar tools)

  • Strong copywriting ability

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable

  • Comfortable working in fast-moving, real-time environments

  • Willingness to take on increasing responsibility

  • Familiarity with analytics and paid social is a plus (not required)

We’re always open to meeting new Fenix interns. Our internships are unpaid, fully remote-friendly, and highly flexible, and we’re happy to work with school credit or class requirements.

Interns support projects across social media, content development, and digital operations while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-moving environment. Responsibilities may include content research, basic graphic design support, scheduling posts, community monitoring, trend tracking, and general creative support, depending on interest and skill level.
